Types

Types are used to categorize and customize assets within a given repository. Each type can belong to multiple repositories and each repository can have multiple types.

Step 1

On the top menu click on ‘Admin’ then click on ‘Types’ in the left hand sidebar

Step 2

Click ‘Add Type’

Step 3

Enter a display name and optional description for the new type. Click ‘Add’.

Step 4

Click on ‘Edit Type’ for the type you just added.

Step 5

Customize your type by dragging and dropping desired field types from the ‘Available Field Types’ into the ‘Selected Fields’ drop zone. Within each field there are various options to customize the field. Customized your type fields as necessary and click ‘Save’ when finished.

Step 6

When all your types are created/customized, don’t forget to add your types to the desired repository or repositories. Start by clicking ‘Repositories’ on the left hand sidebar. From there click on ‘Edit Config’ for the desired repository.

Step 7

On the ‘Edit Config’ page, click ‘Asset Types’ and selected desired types from the dropdown menu.

Step 8

When finished adding all the desired types, click ‘Save Config’ to save changes to the repository.
